About him
Genuine, down to earth, easy going guy, who is able to keep life's challenges in perspective and laugh at many things (including myself!). When I asked a good friend to describe me, she responded: caring, intelligent, fun and loyal. I'm not going to argue with that!
Films are a bit of a passion and I love getting lost in a good movie. I like most genres - sci-fi, independent, film noir...even rom-coms and chick flicks sometimes (I might be a bit of an incurable romantic!). I enjoy reading and love going to the Hay Festival - interesting talks on any topic that stimulate the mind, mooching round bookshops, people watching over a leisurely coffee in the spring sunshine.
I like photography and have for many years, but I still want (and need!) to improve. I can cook, and I'm told I'm not bad at it, but I know I could be more adventurous if there was someone special to cook for. Always believe there is room to grow and develop, no matter how old you are!
I also enjoy theatre, opera, music, exploring castles, good restaurants, history, country walks, coasts, driving for the pleasure of it, fast empty roads, days off work, travelling to new places...oh, lots of things. I like finding new interests and I'm endlessly curious about life and new things in the world

I never really thought of myself as a "type" person - I think it all depends on chemistry. I am looking for someone who is kind, genuine and intelligent, with a warm heart and definitely a fun side. I strongly believe in honesty and integrity, and value these in others as well as in myself. Someone who has an open, curious and enquiring mind, humour and wit, style and substance. Someone to enjoy conversation and laughter with, and who is comfortable being at home as much as going out and doing things together.
