Travelled extensively throughout Europe (lived/worked in Spain/Andorra for 15 yrs); also various countries of C & S America by visiting my World Vision sponsored boys 1999-2021, thus achieving a lifetime's dream/ambition & never being taken for British due to my Peninsular Spanish studied since 13 y/o & BA @ Bristol Univ. I also know French, Portuguese, Italian, some German & can understand a little Dutch/ Flemish. After 1st visits to Bolivia/Honduras, invited to become 1 of 1st group of W V Ambassadors to promote their work.
2019 I did a (tandem) SkyDive over Devon/Somerset countryside, raising £1500 for 3 animal charities, to celebrate 50th Anniversary of completing Camino de Santiago pilgrimage across N Spain (originally hitch-hiked alone as project for my degree)
Planked for Pangolins July/Aug '22, in Sept am hoping to abseil at Uphill Quarry in aid of Somerset Wildlife!
Nov/Dec '22 completed training course to become a Mentor for troubled youngsters from 5-25 y/o with charity Promiseworks, currently awaiting being matched with suitable Mentee.
Recently offered possible chance of teaching in a prospective new school!
