About him
Been working full time for 47 years (government, industry, academia) and thinking maybe it’s time to retire. Is there someone who can help me do this ?
I like chatting to people, listening, eating, drinking. Cycling, every day if the weather’s OK. Walking in the countryside, woods, forests. Snuggling up on the sofa to watch a good film. Listening to Radio 4. Learning to play the piano - would love to play duets.
Occasionally I hike up a mountain. Visit an art gallery. Do some gardening especially things that help wildlife, and volunteering for same. Go sailing, always in other people’s boats up to now, but I have a skipper’s certificate and I’m wondering if it’s worth getting my own boat. It would need two people to sail it.
I used to travel all over the world but more or less given up long-haul. When there’s time and I have a companion I’d like to see more of Britain and Ireland. And European cities, maybe by train and bike.
