About her
I'm a cheerful, optimistic person and I enjoy the great outdoors. I love cycling, keeping fit, tennis and recently padel. I also run a couple of times a week, I’m not very good or fast but I try! One of my daughters has a cycling group, so we go out at least once a week. They are all beginners so I stay at the back to help the straddles and we try and aim for a little coffee stop.
Everyone likes travelling, and I'm no exception. I love either cycling holidays or relaxing in a quiet resort, I'm happy just to get away.
Cooking and baking are good hobbies to have and I bake for the gym members (it means I don’t have to eat it all!),
I enjoy taking my daughter’s dog out for walks, there’s lots of woodland and river walks nearby or a bit hillier not too far away. My other daughter has the “wild child “ dog- a working cocker- he never stops, so it’s good to try and tire him out- inactive so far!
I finally, and with a little reluctance retired 2 years ago. I really enjoyed my job but it was time to go. It’s taken a while to adjust to a stay at home person, but here we are.
I’m a great follower of my eldest daughter in her sporting achievements- triathlon, hyrox, time trials- and have been abroad a few times to spectate. She’s also a tennis coach, so I join in some of her classes and can feel an improvement. More practice needed though 🥴🥰. We’ve played padel a couple of times and that’s a good sport- I think not as technical as tennis.
I look after my granddaughter one or two days a week but not every week, it depends on my daughter’s shifts, she’s only 2 so very cute and sassy! She’s a bit challenging but she goes to a little trampoline class and a gym- tire her out, or is it me? Also, she has swimming lessons, so we’re always on the go when she’s at my house. Recently got her a bike, so looking forward to teaching her to ride it.
About her ideal match
My ideal match should be a strong personality, but not overpowering and should treat me as an equal. However, I would like to be looked after, as I would look after them. Ideally someone who can navigate and decide on the best route - oh, and is able to mend a back wheel puncture would be perfect :).
I'm very happy to take up new activities, I love a challenge. There is one provisor that I’m unable to contemplate and that is sailing! My friend and I went on a sailing course in Corfu- lovely flat sea, gorgeous blue sky- within half an hour I was, well let’s say I wasn’t very well!!!🤢 So that was the end of our sailing lessons!!
