About her
My friends describe me as honest, fun and intellectually curious. I moved from academia to independent secondary education a few years ago and think that teenagers are pretty brilliant (well, ok, maybe about 90% of the time...). I love spending time with friends (always) and family but am also comfortable spending time quietly, which is lucky at the moment! My favourite evening at home would be good food, wine and whiling away the hours laughing and chatting. I am pretty addicted to politics (this has not necessarily been a fun pursuit over the past few years, admittedly...), and one of life's small but great pleasures is waking up to the papers and the Today programme, idling over them along with coffee in bed. An ideal day would be spent in an art gallery with an amazingly good collection (Zurich's Kunsthaus is a favourite), preferably in a city I've never visited before before heading out to dinner or a bar in the evening. That could only be topped once or twice a year by a good few days' skiing - I'm generally most fond of the French Alps. Most of the time I'd settle for a good exhibition in London though (oh, how I've missed them of late).

He should probably like dogs too - especially 17-month-old oversized black Labradors with a penchant for chewing walls (only mine - I promise?!).
