About him
My friends say I'm a great cook. I love to travel and enjoy going to the opera, theatre, cinema, art galleries and exhibitions, on walks, going to rugby games. cricket and fly-fishing in the summer, horse racing. I like to try and keep my brain active by doing cryptic crosswords, classes in a variety of subjects including Italian; French; history of art; painting and drawing. I like history, science and politics but love finding new areas where I can increase my knowledge and understanding. This is why I enjoy a good chat with friends and family and people newly met. Everyone has different experiences and a story to tell and new ideas and activities to explore. I love pubs and restaurants and live music too. I have a large record collection and love Radio 4. Pre Covid I liked to travel and my favourite destinations were Italy and France. I'd be happy to go and have an adventurous year living in either of those two countries. I have traveled further afield including USA, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Holland, Belgium, Norway, Ireland. I've really not seen enough of Spain or Scandinavia. Love to get to Indo-China again and visit Burma (Myanmar). A trip to Budapest or Lisbon would be lovely too.

Anyone of a similar age with a liberal attitude to most thing, a sense of humour, and, a desire to cultivate new friendships then who knows where that will take us (Hopefully travelling).
