Hello strangers. New to this so forgive me if I say the wrong thing. I’m a writer and academic with no intellectual pretensions. I do what I love and don’t care about the labels. Born in Tokyo, grew up there and in the UK. Now live in Berlin but spend a lot of time in the UK and can be anywhere.
Friends would say I have a bad habit of doing what makes sense to me, not what a well-trained human is supposed to do. And that I'm a generous lifelong friend. And fun. For the record, my exes all say the same - I’m quite proud of that :)
I love writing and thinking (and do both for a modest living), photographing nature and all the different shapes of things, walking, climbing medium-sized mountains, swimming, singing, animals, watching films and miniseries, scotch, and my lovely friends. Dislikes? Closed minds. I like people who are open to rethinking at least some of their dislikes. Think and think again as long as your brain works - that’s what makes life more interesting than ever when you’re older...
